Wedding Heart Shaped Cake Pops

Ahh. I've been away for too long. I do apologize for that. Sometimes it seems like there isn't enough time in a day. Well, here's a treat. Heart shaped cakepops!!!!!! Yummy!!!!  I recently made about 200 cakepops for my cousin's wedding. Her theme was "Two Hearts become One" so of course the cake pops had to be shaped like hearts! They were a super cute (and delicious) part of her party favors. The wedding was beautiful and the reception was lovely. Did I mention how DELICIOUS the food was? Mmmmm. Well, here are pics and directions for making these yummy treats just in case you want to make them for your own special occasion. I think I'll be making some for my birthday party, though probably a different shape. :-)

Step 1: Bake cakes.
Step 2: Crumble cake into a large mixing bowl
Step 3: Add 1 cup of frosting and mix. (I prefer to use homemade cream cheese frosting. It's so yum.)
Step 4: Use heart shaped cookie to press in mixture and mold into a heart shape.
Step 5: Insert tip of one stick into melted chocolate or candy coating and then insert into cake heart. Repeat until all have a stick.
Step 6: Place in freezer for 20 minutes to allow pops to chill and firm.
Step 7: Dip each pop and place them in a foam stand, then place them back in the freezer for 15 minutes to allow coating to firm.
Step 8: Serve or leave them in the fridge, or even on the counter, until you are ready to serve them. I like to eat them chilled, but they taste great either way.
